Fitness & Rehabilitation

We are passionate about enabling everyone to fully participate in the things they love.

We know that women need to remain strong throughout their lives and being physically fit and mobile is important to maintain health. There are many challenges to a healthy lifestyle. Our team is able to progress women/you from clinic-based rehab right through to the Pilates studio or the gym by creating individualised programs targeting your goals. These can be continued independently, or with in small classes all in our purpose designed fitness spaces.

These sessions will be ideal for anyone:

  • Needing a regular stretch and wanting to improve their strength, posture and ability to do the things they love
  • Keen to exercise but not knowing how or what to do
  • Individual programming and supervision rather than a large fitness class
  • Wanting to manage their aches, pains or pelvic floor issues in a holistic way
  • Wanting to be challenged in a safe and supervised environment

What to expect at your appointment

Your initial appointment is one hour long and involves an extensive assessment so that we can determine all the factors contributing to your condition(s). Follow up appointments are generally half an hour long.

The treatment room is private and comfortable.

You do not need to provide a referral, anyone can self refer. But if you have any relevant information please bring it along.

Please bring along any relevant information such as scans, bladder charts, medications and/or operation records.

Your initial appointment is usually one hour long and involves a lot of talking. We are here to listen so we can fully understand all the factors contributing to your condition(s). This extensive assessment helps us to determine how we can best help you.

There are many assessments which are used to help us to give us information and problem solve. In some cases where your condition relates to the pelvic floor muscles, bowel or bladder it is beneficial for the physiotherapist to perform an internal vaginal or rectal examination as part of the assessment. The information from this assessment is very valuable in determining the best treatment options for you, often with faster recovery. However, it is always up to you. There are many reasons why people do not want to be examined and that is absolutely fine.

Our real-time ultrasound machine also provides information about pelvic floor function and only requires visualisation of the lower tummy area, with a full bladder.

Ultimately you will be presented with options for the assessment, treatment and management of your concerns and you will choose what direction you would like to pursue.

Purpose

This policy outlines the fees associated with late cancellations and no-shows for appointments at Adapt Movement and Evolve Physio and Pelvic Health. Timely cancellations are crucial for managing our schedule, in our small business with limited availability. Late cancellations and no-shows not only disrupt our operations but prevent other patients from accessing our services.

Fee: 50% of the total billing fee for the appointment.

No-Show: A failure to attend the scheduled appointment without prior notice or a cancellation made less than 2 hours before the appointment.

Fee: 100% of the total billing fee for the appointment.

Notification Process

You will receive SMS reminders 1 week and 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please contact us as soon as possible via return SMS, calling the clinic on 99346649, or email admin@adaptmovement.com.au.

Payment of Fees

Fees for late cancellations and no-shows will be billed directly to your account and are to be paid prior to the next scheduled appointment or within 30 days.

Exceptions to this policy may be made for extenuating circumstances, such as medical emergencies. You should communicate any such situations to our administration team.
